It is no surprise for us to see mo.re and more national sport teams and individual representing their countries to take part in worldwide sport games. However, regarding their funding source, there are two different opinions. Some people insist the government should pay the money, because the sport team and athletes represents the country while others think those people should be funded by some non-governmental organizations for the government has its own fiscal budgets

Those who hold the statement that the costs should be undertaken by the government insist that those sport teams and athletes are fighting for the honor of the country; they take it for granted that the governments are obligated to pay the expenses incurred during the matches. And they think it can also serve as a motivator to impel the athletes to make more efforts. This way of funding seems like a universal practice and is accepted by most country.

However, for those underdeveloped countries which have limited budget to invest in Sports ,it is not possible for every athlete or national team to get financial support from the government, let alone countries like Iraq, which is in social unrest and full of attacks and death. Therefore ,in tackling this issue ,it is necessary for these teams or individuals to seek sponsorship from businesses or get help from the non-governmental organizations (NGOs) which are related with sports to make their sporting dreams come true.

Personally, I think that the government should take the responsibility of paying for those players' match journey At any rate, the government finance is more powerful than individual sponsors, and it can provide the athletes with more stable financial support.
