1. Leaders

‐(Outline) What kinds of people will be taken as leaders in your culture

Usually, people that can communicate and work well with their team, that can make tough decision efficiently and effectively, and that can help the team solve challenging problems are taken as leaders in our culture.

‐(Describe) What leaders do you know well about

思路：如果你是學(xué)生，可以討論student leader in your class or school。如果你已經(jīng)在工作，可以討論team leader. 甚至討論國(guó)家的leader, 社會(huì)的leader也可以。

Most of the leaders that I know well are from my work. We work on projects and go on business trips together. I think some of them are great: not only do they lead the team effectively, but they also care a lot about individual team member.

‐(Agree/disagree) Leaders always have strong will power

思路：這里是問(wèn)leader是否一般意志堅(jiān)定。意志堅(jiān)定的反面是容易放棄，所以leader 一般都是有strong will power的人。

I think leaders generally have strong will power. Because leaders are likely to face challenging situations and are tasked to lead the team to solve difficulties, they cannot easily give up when shit hits the fan. So I think strong will power is a necessary leadership quality.

2. Leadership

‐(Give reasons) Why some people are not good leaders

思路：想想上面說(shuō)的，具備什么特質(zhì)的人才是good leader。People that are not good leader就是這些人的反面:

Since leaders generally need to help the team come up with solutions and solve difficult problems, I think people that are afraid of taking responsibilities or making tough decisions are not going to be good leaders.

‐(Assess) What can be done to improve young peoples leadership

思路：leadership 不是可以在課堂上學(xué)出來(lái)的知識(shí)，而是在參與活動(dòng)中培養(yǎng)出來(lái)的能力

I think young people can take some leadership classes or seminars to learn about the theory of how to be a good leader. But more importantly, they should be encouraged to participate in more team projects or activities, to learn about how to work well with others and help the team solve problems.

3.Success

‐(Suggest) What are the ways to be successful for young people today.

There are numerous ways to be successful for young people these days. Great academic performance and a degree from an elite school can help young people land a decent job from big companies. Besides this, having a strong social network can also be a tremendous help to kick start someones career or business. Other than all of these, if someone simply has a creative idea and is willing to work hard on it, he or she can also be successful without having the outstanding background.
